I’ve had my eye on the brand Dagne Dover for a while now. I first heard about them when I was perusing Poshmark and filed the name in the back of my mind as I sourced at second hand stores and consignment shops. I looked and looked but never found one.
Some time later, I received a package from a relative and to my delight, I opened the large brown box and inside was a large Dagne Dover Dakota backpack. I could hardly believe it! My first thought was “isn’t God good?!” He knew my desires and it was so kind of Him to send an unexpected blessing that day.
Now, after having traveled across the country with it and having used it daily, I decided to write a blog post about why this is such a great company with a quality product.

About Dagne Dover
Dagne Dover was founded by three women from diverse backgrounds. The women had common desires to design quality bags for everyday life. Dagne Dover boast that their products are made from non-toxic dyes.
What is so great about Dagne Dover bags?
Most Dagne Dover bags are made of neoprene fabric, which is water resistant. As a mom, I think this is such a great feature.
After wearing the large size backpack for a while, I noticed that even with a heavy load it was very comfortable to wear. The padded straps are also neoprene which adds to the ease of use. The Dagne Dover backpack has a well thought out design. It includes zippered pockets in appropriate places and the fit is slim with clean lines.
Each bag has minimalist silhouettes and yet has plenty of space. There are water bottle holders on the inside of the bag, a laptop compartment, useful interior pockets and a separate neoprene pouch that clips onto the inside.
The outside also has small pockets on the outside (perfect for my phone) and a side zipper. My favorite feature is how easy it is to keep clean! At the end of the day, the neoprene material wears very well and is so easy to wipe down. The backpack is a great bag for my daily needs.
Dagne Dover’s Positive Program’s
Their bags are also vegan and Dagne Dover has a program where you can recycle their bags. For people who want to recycle their bags, the program they offer is called Almost Vintage and can be found on their website. The purpose is that people can sell their worn bags on Almost Vintage, receive a commission, and purchase another bag. This gives someone a great deal. It is a win for Dagne Dover, a win for the seller and a win for the buyer. I love programs like this! What a great way for someone who doesn’t want to pay full price for a Dagne Dover bag, but still wants to try one out.
Another positive program the company has is all of their returned products are donated to a shelter or charity in LA.
More Options
Some of their other bags look like great options too. Such as one of their best sellers, the Dagne Dover Landon Carryall. They also make fanny packs, travel bags, work bags, gym bags, diaper bags, makeup bags, and wet bags. Many different styles of Dagne Dover bags can be found on their Almost Vintage site as well!
Each bag has a good design, is the perfect size, and over all are great problem-solving bags. Dagne Dover seems to have enough space with roomy interiors. They are also conscious about their environmental impact on the earth through their recycling programs.
Whether you are seeking a minimalist style, a sleek design, or a comfortable backpack, Dagne Dover fits the bill. I’m looking forward to investing in another quality Dagne Dover bag in the future!

I’ve never heard of this brand! But I love that the bag is water resistant…I’ve gotten stuck in a down pour with a non water resistant bag before and it was no fun drying everything!
