Have you ever wondered how to wash your favorite baseball hat? Does it have stubborn sweat stains on the inside band? Does your hat have makeup stains? The good news is that you can clean your dirty baseball hat in three simple steps!
What’s The Secret?
I am going to share with you an easy step-by-step process to washing your favorite baseball hat. What is the best way to wash a dirty baseball hat? The secret is to place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Doing this will allow the hat to keep its original shape. If you throw your favorite baseball hat in the washing machine, it is more likely to lose its shape.
This cleaning method does not apply to wool baseball caps. You can wash trucker hats, baseball hats, cotton blend hats, and a flat bill type of hat in the dish washer.

Step One
In a small bowl, combine Dawn dish detergent, distilled white vinegar (Four Monks is my favorite vinegar brand), and baking soda. Take an old, soft-bristled toothbrush and scrub the mixture on all of the dirty areas and the stained areas of the hat. This combination has stain-fighting power and works wonders.

Step Two
Place your freshly scrubbed baseball hat on the top rack of the dishwasher. Fill the dishwasher with your normal dishwasher detergent and some distilled white vinegar. Run on a normal wash cycle. By placing the hat on the top rack of the dishwasher, the hat will keep its shape.
Step Three
When the wash cycle is done, take the hat out of the dishwasher and let it air dry. The best way to dry it is to place your hat in direct sunlight. If you are washing your hat in the winter, you may need to use a hair dryer or a small fan.
Between the stain remover mix, the spot cleaning, and the dish washer, your hat will be good as new in no time.
