Three Best Water Bottle Brands for Kids

As a mom of soon to be five children going from desert living to a high elevation mountain town, our family has tried our fair share of water bottles. Over the years I have narrowed down the three best insulated water bottle brands for kids.
There are also several aspects of each brand that are important features and specs to consider when purchasing a water bottle for kids.
At the end of the day, we prefer stainless steel children’s water bottles over plastic water bottles and consider these three brands to have the best over all water bottle options for kids (and family!). I will highlight all of these features and include easy shoppable links in this post.

What to Shop For
The brands listed in this post all offer multiple sizes to accommodate younger kids and older kids. All three of these are the best stainless steel water bottles from high quality brands we trust. They are all perfect for everyday use. It may be a bit more of an investment at first glance, but a good quality water bottle can last for a long time and is worth it in the long run.
There are several features to keep in mind when shopping for functional water bottles for kids. The water bottle needs to have a lid that can easily be opened and shut, preferably with a built-in straw, spout lid, or flip-top lid.
Keep in mind you want this water bottle to pass the leak test, durability test, and be easy to clean! As you can probably guess why, avoid a screw-on lid. Also, the fewer parts to the water bottle the better.
Another reason why I am such a fan of stainless steel is that it makes for a tough bottle! Kids are constantly dropping their water bottles on hard surfaces and need something that is made out of quality materials that will hold up.
Many of the kids bottles come in bright colors and fun designs. My top three brand choices for kids water bottles are; Hydroflask, Klean Kanteen, and Yeti.

A favorite feature of Klean Kanteen water bottles is their sport lid. This has been one of the best options for lids that has worked for our whole family. Even the young kids can easily open and shut this lid. Klean Kanteen also offers a toddler sip cup with straw, twist straw, and sip bottle.

A few Other Options
For older children, a straw lid option in the Hydroflask cup is a good choice. A brand I didn’t highlight, but is a popular choice with older kids is the Stanley Thirst Quencher or the Stanley IceFlow. Both are quality water bottles.

We love the Yeti brand in this family – actually just bought another one yesterday for our youngest even though she’s still an infant (thank you local stores having a sale!). Seriously though, the amount of times our toddler drops these on the floor and they still come up dent free is astonishing.
Great blog post! As a mom of two, I’m always trying to make sure I get products that are functional and good quality. This is very helpful, thank you!!☺️
