DIY How to Turn A Summer Wreath into A Fall Wreath

Do you want to turn your summer wreath into a gorgeous fall wreath?  This is a simple way to change up your seasonal decor without purchasing another wreath to store all year long.  

Simply invest in a grapevine wreath form and makeover your wreath every season.  Going from summer to fall could not be easier!  Creating a new wreath design is one of my favorite ways to update my front porch.  Follow along for an easy DIY fall wreath that involves only a few simple items.

Staple Materials 

  • Grape Vine Wreath 
  • Floral Wire
  • Wire Cutters

Fall Wreath Materials 

  • Accent Ribbons – can use plaid or burlap ribbon 
  • Fall Accents – fall leaves, white pumpkins, dried flowers, dried wheat, jute twine, etc. 
  • Fall Colors 

How to Turn Your Summer Wreath Into A Fall Wreath 

Step One 

Disassemble summer wreath with wire cutters.  

Step Two 

Wrap wreath in ribbon. 

Step Three

Start layering fall wreath materials.  Large foliage can be used first, then move to the accents.  Use floral wire to secure when needed.  

Step Four

This is the best part, put on the finishing touches.  Use your creativity to make your beautiful fall wreath compliment your own front door.

  1. I LOVE this! I don’t usually buy wreaths because you only use them for a short time and then have to store them. But I love this idea of reusing multiple times!
