Let’s talk about an easy way to add color and refresh your wardrobe for the beautiful spring season
Spring is here! A season of new growth and fresh starts, and inspiration. Winter is slowly melting away and soon it will be time to pack away the winter clothes. What an opportunity to put some soft colors back into your wardrobe and home.
Now is the perfect time look through your wardrobe. Clear out your closet and pack away your favorite winter sweaters and snow boots. A simple way is to organize and label so you can easily find these items when winter comes again.
Spring Wardrobe Refresh
When you think about a spring wardrobe refresh, think about your personal style. Do you like bright colors or floral prints? Neutral colors or vibrant colors?
Lay out your spring clothes. Assess what new ways you can come up with to mix and match. Play around a bit with your wardrobe and see what spring essentials you might need. What pieces are you missing? White sneakers and a jean jacket? Classic jeans and lighter fabrics?
What To Do With Items You No Longer Want
I recommend selling your clothing you no longer want. You can sell on different platforms like Poshmark, Mercari, or Ebay. Consigning clothing at your local consignment store is another option.
Other ideas: donate to your local thrift store, charity, pregnancy resource center, or hold a clothing swap with your friends. Clothing swaps are fun and a great way to update your wardrobe for free! An added bonus is giving away items that you no longer want or need, but know a friend will enjoy.
Spring Color Inspiration
Organize by color. This will create an environment that’s not only easy to look at but makes pieces easy to find. Also, think about items that you can easily mix and match. Neutrals easily make your closet cohesive, simple, and refreshing to look at.
Looking for some spring color inspiration other than neutrals? Try a pastel pallet of soft pink, sage green, light blue, white, lavender and light yellow.
Try adding a pop of color or some floral patterns to your spring wardrobe. For example, pair white jeans with a floral top and a denim jacket. Or wide leg jeans with wedge shoes and a neutral blazer. Another idea is a crop sweater layered over a dress. There are so many of the latest trends you can incorporate into your spring look.
Spring Wardrobe Inspiration
In Conclusion
Think of spring as a fresh start. Get rid of the old, whatever is weighing you down, do some spring cleaning and refresh your wardrobe so you can start out on the right foot. Pick you favorite color palette to kick off your spring style. Happy Spring!
